3. Warranty Obligations

During the warranty period, the Contractor will, at its discretion, repair or replace defective workmanship or covered replacement parts at no additional charge for the covered item. All repairs or replacements will be performed using reasonable industry standards to restore safe and proper functionality. A standard service charge may apply for site visits or diagnostics.

4. Warranty Period

  • Labor (workmanship): 90 days from the repair completion date.
  • Replacement parts: 6 months from the repair completion date, unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer.

5. Non-Transferability

This warranty is provided only to the original Customer, is not transferable, and terminates if the original Customer sells or no longer owns the repaired door or system.

Warranty coverage requires proper use, reasonable care, and compliance with safety and maintenance instructions provided by the Contractor, including but not limited to:

  • Keeping photo-eyes clean and properly aligned
  • Not operating a damaged or malfunctioning door
  • Not disabling or bypassing safety features

Any misuse, neglect, unsafe operation, unauthorized repairs, or failure to follow instructions may void the warranty.

  • Consequential or incidental damages (such as loss of use, property damage, or personal injury)
  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, or extreme weather
  • Damage caused by natural or uncontrollable events (“Acts of God”), including but not limited to floods, earthquakes, storms, lightning, or high winds
  • Issues related to misaligned, disconnected, or displaced cables that were not addressed during the original service

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the Contractor’s total liability exceed the amount paid by the Customer for the specific repair that gave rise to the claim. Verbal statements by representatives do not alter or expand these written terms.

9. Payment Terms

  • If the scheduled repair is not performed the same day, a 30% deposit is required to secure scheduling. The remaining 70% is due immediately upon completion.
  • If the repair is performed the same day, full payment is due upon completion.
  • Warranty coverage is valid only if full payment has been received in accordance with these terms.

10. Claims Procedure

12. Right to Refuse Service

The Contractor reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service if unsafe, abusive, or uncooperative conditions are present at the service location, or if work performed by third parties has compromised the integrity or safety of the garage door system.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms & Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Customer and the Contractor and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, whether oral or written, regarding the subject matter of this warranty and service.
